Abilities:
Remi was once a thief and quite good, though pickpocketing is easy for him and doesn't require planning, plus he was good at it; and though he doesn't do it any longer, he doesn't forget the skill or ability; Once marked/claimed though, his stealth increases - he could easily fade into the shadows to become unseen and he could move in near silence, making him almost impossible to detect; his reflexes and senses became greater than the average human, all of which he uses to his advantage. He is given in languages and when it comes to anthropology and archaeology he has few equals, especially when it comes to religious artifacts. Can sense history "flashes" with things and gets and idea of what they were for or from. He is studious and very smart
Appearance:
He is of average height but very athletic and toned. Remi has a scar on his ribs from a fight and one crossing knee from the injury. He had unnaturally blue eyes and a cat-like smile which becomes more pronounced when he smirks. He likes to dress well but be comfortable and even better when their functional too. Remi has a tattoo of cross among orchids (his mother's favourite) with "Carpe Diem" encircling it all on right shoulder blade. He had darkish brown hair that he keeps a bit longish but not too much.
Personality:
extremely charismatic with a sometimes affable demeanor; capable of fierce loyalty and affection, though he is often misunderstood; Known for his wit and subtle humor, he is very easy to talk to about superficial things but at heart he is a thief - he steals ill-gotten valuables (from tangible goods to highly sought after information); isn't afraid to get his hands dirty; he may not start a fight but he'll end it if it's important to him; can be spontaneous and sometimes not think things out fully; a bit cocky at times, okay most of the time, self-assured; self-aware and very determined to the point of being stubborn; he does have a simple side but it is in private and very little do see it, the guard lowered a bit, the walls not so tall.

* grew up in and around both cities; the Larocque family has owned a prominent newspaper in Lafayette for many generations
* an only child and wanted for nothing, but his mother maintained that he should not be spoiled rotten. He grew up knowing both the rich long history of both sides of his family
* went to boarding school and was charming and quite popular with both the boys and girls which suited him just fine
*had thought from a very young age of entering the seminary, coming from a religious family and area
* speaks four languages and is/was quite good at several sports; could be a good student if he applied himself
* makes friends easily even when his behaviour drives them nuts.
* A gifted athlete, until a car accident and knee surgery dashed those dreams and more significantly, also killed his parents when he was 16 which is when his crisis of faith and anger to God started
*thought seminary would help that, help fill the hole in that faith and beliefs but that didn't work either, and he dropped out and instead went to University; he still had friends in the church and they helped him in his quest for artifacts and cultural discoveries.
*found a very unique pendant on one dig and the imprint on it was different than anything he'd known before; he kept it and wore it, hoping to discover it's true meaning and origins at some point |

the thief....
The Hopeless.
The Thief: The thief is an expert in street smarts. They've got a rough edge about them, and are very hands-on. When money gets really tight, they pick-pocket. One day, they pick-pocket Azrael, and the result is not very pleasant. But he sees something in them, and takes them back home to be marked. Most of the others don't trust this human at all, but Azrael sees them as a project of some sort.
• The Hopeless: Emotional, cold. Operates in the shadows, stealth, silence, swift, hidden.
